2010 – 2nd Quarter Update

Posted on 19. Jul, 2010 by in News

Some really exciting things have been happening at Euphonic Masters this quarter!

Brad was chosen to master Maroon 5′s new album, ‘Hands All Over’, produced by the legendary Mutt Lange, mixed by renowned mixer Mike Shipley and released on A&M/Octone Records. The album, due for full release on Sept. 21st, has already spawned its first hit single, ‘Misery’ (currently charting at #3 (HotAC) and #10 (Mainstream Top40) (at time of writing). We’re very pleased with how the production turned out and think you will enjoy this one very much - give it a listen!

Euphonic was also chosen to master Satellite’s new EP, mixed by uber-mixer Jeff Juliano. The band, which features Mitch Allan (of SR-71) and Steven McMorran (of Trading Yesterday), has amazing songwriting and performances, truly a must listen. Brad was also chosen to master the Barenaked Ladies newest release ‘Every Subway Car’ (mixed by the incredible Bob Clearmountain). Featuring Erin McCarley, this catchy song is definitely worth a listen.

In response to the recent flooding in Nashville, Mike Farris pulled together an incredible cast of musicians to play for his new benefit EP, ‘The Night The Cumberland Came Alive’. Featuring an all-star cast of musicians including: Sam Bush, Kenny Vaughan (Marty Stuart), Ketch Secor and Gill Landry from Old Crow Medicine Show, Byron House (Robert Plant), as well as Ann, Regina and Alfreda McCrary (The McCrary Sisters), Derrek Phillips and Eric Holt from Farris’ own Roseland Rhythm Revue, this EP is worth picking up – and it’s for a good cause!

Also, a belated congratulations to Mike for winning a Dove Award for ‘Shout! Live’, mastered here at Euphonic.

Amazing mix engineer Diego Acosta sent Juan Fernando Velasco’s latest album to Brad for some final polish, truly an amazing record. Upon release, the album sold over 25,000 copies in less than two hours in Ecuador, shattering previous sales records. At time of writing, the album has sold over 75,000 copies (12x Platinum) in Ecuador alone – congrats to all involved!

We’ve been busy with many other projects, of course, as we’re experiencing one of our best years ever here at Euphonic masters – a special thanks to all who allow us to serve you!
