The first quarter of 2012 is off to a killer start, let’s dive right in to some of the amazing news we have to share…

Razor & Tie rockers P.O.D. chose Brad to put the finishing touches on their latest effort, titled ‘Murdered Love‘. The album was recorded and mixed at NRG Recording Studios, produced by Howard Benson, mixed by Jay Baumgardner. The first single,  ‘Lost In Forever‘  has already cracked the Top20 in rock radio, the album will be available on July 10th.

Euphonic was also picked to master the new Blues Traveler album ‘Suzie Cracks The Whip‘ (available June 26th), produced by S*A*M* and Sluggo. This is a great record, check it out! Brad was once again asked to put the polish on the latest effort by P.J. Morton , an EP titled ‘Following My First Mind’. Featuring Adam Levine, Lil’ Wayne and Jazmine Sullivan, this EP is really turning some heads – and PJ is giving it away FREE!

The Dickinson family – long-time friends and clients – sent a ton of amazing music in this quarter. First off, the North Mississippi Allstars asked Brad to master their new live album, featuring their now-deceased father, the legendary Jim Dickinson. Such incredible performances – this one will be a favorite for many. Luther Dickinson also sent Euphonic his new solo record, ‘Hambone’s Meditations‘ a solo acoustic album featuring a handful of original tunes alongside a few traditional gospel numbers. Next was the new album from ‘Luther Dickinson and The Wandering‘, a bit of an ‘Americana supergroup’ that includes Dickinson, bassist Amy LaVere, guitarist Shannon McNally, banjo player Valerie June, and drummer/fife player Sharde Thomas, the granddaughter of fife master Othar Turner. The new album, titled ‘Go On Now, You Can’t Stay Here’ is simply spectacular. Lastly, Brad was asked to master the latest effort by the South Memphis String Band, called ‘Old Times There‘ – featuring Luther with Alvin Youngblood Hart and Jimbo Mathus. Recorded at Matthus’ home studio in Como, Mississippi, Luther says of the album “We weren’t trying to sound like any era. We were just playing music, having fun, and acknowledging our heritage. After all, that’s what it’s all about.”

Provident Label Group chose Euphonic to put the finishing touches on the new Rhett Walker Band album, ‘Come To The River‘ (available July 10th). Produced by Paul Moak and mixed by Dustin Burnett, the album’s first single, titled ‘When Mercy Found Me‘  is already shooting up the charts! Gotee  artsis House of Heroes also has Brad finish up their latest effort, called ‘Cold Hard Want‘ (also out July 10th). Another masterful Paul Moak production, this album was mixed by J.R. McNeely. This album is incredible, it’s going to real blow some people’s minds…

We’ve been in a bit of a celebratory mood here at Euphonic, after winning two Grammys at this year’s awards show in the categories of Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical and Best Bluegrass Album (both for work on Alison Krauss and Union Station‘s, ‘Paper Airplane‘). Also, congratulations to Maroon 5 & Christina Aguilera for eclipsing the 5x Platinum mark for US sales of their hit single, ‘Moves Like Jagger‘!

We’re already well into an amazing second quarter of 2012, we’ll have more news for you soon!
